ENTITY OF LORD CHRIST JESUS IN THE WORLD
The
Biblical Constitution of the Church
1. Christ is
the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ…For we
are members of his body, of his flesh and of his bones.(Eph.5: 23-30)
2.
For in him (Christ) dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily…and ye are complete in
him, which is the head of all principality and power.(Col.2: 9,10)
3.
God hath put all things under his feet, and gave him (Christ) to be the head over all things
to the church.
(Eph.1: 22)
4.
For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one
body: so also is CHRIST. For by one spirit we are all baptized into one body, whether
we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. Now ye are the body of Christ,
and members in particular.(I.Cor.12: 12-27)
5.
For through him (Christ) we both have access by one Spirit unto the FATHER.
Now therefore
ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of GOD. And
are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and the Prophets, Jesus
Christ himself being the chief corner stone.(Eph.2: 18-20)
6.
There is one Body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one Hope of your calling;
One LORD (Christ),
and one Faith, one Baptism, one GOD and FATHER of all, who is above all, and through all,and in you all.(Eph.4: 4-6)
7. But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and
we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ,
by whom are all things, and we by him. (I.Cor.8:6)
8.
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ. Now I praise you, brethren, that ye remember me in all things,
and keep the ordinances, as I delivered them to you. But I would have you know, that the head
of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man;
and the head of Christ is God. (I.Cor.11:1-3)
9.
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye
subject to ordinances.- Which all are to perish with the using after the commandments and doctrines of men?For ye are dead,
and your life is hid with Christ in God. When Christ, who is our life, shall
appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. (Coloss.2:20-22/ 3:3,4) 10. God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers,
after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues;- And he gave some, apostles;
and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work
of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the
measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: (I.Cor.12:28/ Eph.4:11-13)
